Being a Sussex boy, I find it very difficult to applaud anyone or anything that comes out of Kent. So when I do, it's fair to say that I must really love this anyone or anything. Today it's an anyone. By my own admission, I am one of the world's worst photographers. I try, but I just can't do it. Maybe it's the lack of a tripod or maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Who knows? It means, though, that I have a huge admiration for anyone who has this talent. Anyone who has the ability to capture a moment that tells a story and provokes some kind of emotion. One such person is Sarah Canterbury. I like her because she takes photos of Ricky Ponting getting bowled, but I also like her because she just seems to be damn good at what she does. Whenever she uploads a new photo I am almost certainly going to think 'wow' or 'I wish I could do that' or 'why has she taken another photo of a cricketer's backside?' (I think this must be a personal project of hers). So if you like photography, or cricketers bending down, I suggest you check out her website. Especially so you can see the photos above in their full glory.

I whole-heartedly approve of Sarah Canterbury (no relation). When out doing Bishop-y things around the city I often see Sarah with her photographic equipment. I can relate that her kit does not include a tri-pod. To steady her camera she seems to prefer a tripod.
There are two Sarahs. You have one, I'll have the other. I would prefer the one who didn't suggest your blog was better than mine. That, as far as I am concerned, is heresy. Particularly as it is absolute nonsense. Though what would you expect from someone who calls themselves Sarah Berks on BBC websites? As you will gather I am not amused or happy about the incident.
You said it was the best. I don't mind, it's just I know you are not being faithful to what you really believe! We'll let it lie. But just remember, if you want to come over to the bright side, you'll be very welcome.
@Bish: You need my permission to do that, sorry. @Ceci: Did you bang your head on the wall when you got out of bed this morning? I have never heard so much nonsense. Since yesterday. @Sarah: No one has ever been sure what this blog is about. Least of all me.
@SarahCanterbury: You are a very astute young lady. @Bish Bosh: Northerners. @Sarah: That is an outrageous thing to say. Have you forgotten Julia John week? And Richard Bacon month? And Lee Mack Monday? And Derren Brown fortnight? Obviously.
Known to some as Jon and others as Jonathan, I'm freelance copywriter, creative and designer. I produce innovative and commercially driven concepts that promote your business and products to stakeholders and customers alike.
Crikey. That's rather lovely of you. Thank you.

ReplyDelete@Sarah: Thank your photographic talents. Not me.
ReplyDelete@Bish: Good point, well made.
Strange, Sarah seems to have turned up on the wrong blog.

ReplyDeleteBerks?!
ReplyDeleteAre you not Sarah Berks? I may have to make an apology here.
ReplyDeleteNo. I don't even live in Berkshire.
ReplyDeleteDo you not? In that case I apologise for calling you Sarah Berks. Still a bit unhappy about the whole 'blog snub' though.
ReplyDeleteBlog snub?
ReplyDeleteYes, blog snub. Suggesting Fearns' was better than mine. I call that a snub.
ReplyDeleteI think I said that I liked his, I don't remember suggesting that it was better.

ReplyDeleteHappy?
ReplyDeleteI am both happy and humbled. Thank you. As a treat I will take you to see Andrew Strauss next week.
ReplyDeleteWell done my children, you are a shining example of repentance and forgiveness. I will use this blog as the basis for Sunday's sermon.
ReplyDeleteI must say the inclusion of Sarah Canterbury's excellent photos improves this blog enormously - to almost to Fearns' standard
ReplyDeleteIs that what this blog's about? Oh yes, the photos aren't at all bad. In fact, they are excellent.
ReplyDelete@Bish: You need my permission to do that, sorry.

I think it's a most marvellous blog. *nods sincerely with no hint of bias whatsoever*
ReplyDeleteI prefer Marc's Blog and I'm way cooler than the Archbishop of Canterbury.
ReplyDeleteI think it's mostly about you.
ReplyDelete@SarahCanterbury: You are a very astute young lady.
ReplyDelete@Bish Bosh: Northerners.
@Sarah: That is an outrageous thing to say. Have you forgotten Julia John week? And Richard Bacon month? And Lee Mack Monday? And Derren Brown fortnight? Obviously.
